The monsoon is finally here! Playful droplets of water and the earthly smell of petrichor must have got you into the groove. But it must have also given you the hunger pangs!
But, why satiate yourself with unhealthy snacks? Why not just have some nutritious pumpkin seeds, roasted to perfection?
Don’t know how to make it? No worries!
Here’s a quick recipe!
Heat a non-stick pan; add olive oil, a bit of rock salt and 1/4th teaspoon of garlic powder. Give it a gentle stir. As the powder gets mixed well, turn the heat off.
- Preheat the oven to 300° F
- Mix the melted mixture and pumpkin seeds in a bowl
- Spread it on a baking tray
- Bake it for 10 minutes till the seeds turn golden brown
- Take the tray off and let the seeds cool down
Your pumpkin seeds snack is ready!
PS: You can add any spice or flavour, be creative and follow your taste!
You can store this delicious snack in an air tight jar. Monsoons don’t allow you to carry much stuff, especially foot items. But, this snack is easy to carry, you can have it on the go and you can have a mini-meal every time mini-hunger strikes!
